Identify New Bases of Power

In your networking, start looking for people to identify new audiences for your products and services as an alternative to direct recruitment and sales.  This strategy works especially well when you routinely attend monthly meetings to develop contacts.  Choose a specific target market for each month, e.g., January – manufacturing, February – real estate, March – small business owners, etc., and broaden your bases of power.
