Inspiring NetWorks: Part 2

By Mark Sturgell, Great Lakes Bureau Chief          Mark's Bio

Last month, I kicked off the new Great Lakes regional report with Part I of a series on inspiring networks beginning with none other than InspireNET (did you read their Inspiration Manifesto?). We continue the series this month with a look at inspiration of a different kind.

Coaching clubs have been around for awhile and recently are growing in rapid numbers, primarily because personal and business coaches are finding the desire to reach more people and the need to create economies of scale with their time. Not all coaching clubs are created equal. Most fail to live up to their potential as meaningful, sustainable networks among their members.

But what might happen if a small group of successful small business CEOs, presidents and owners from throughout the country could access one another 24/7 for inspiration? Do you think they could help each others’ businesses grow?

If you are a small business leader, how would your life be different if you had easy access to a network like this?

  • A Small Business Community composed of 9 other leaders of growing companies to help you start stretching your thinking.

  • The opportunity to test your marketing and other ideas in a safe and confidential environment with some very bright people.

  • A “Business e-enabled” CEO Membership Organization for CEOs, Presidents, and Owners of Small Business, where you can experience the flexibility, freedom, and breadth of advice available only from peer entrepreneurs – and those peers are located across the U.S.

  • A small focused network that also combines a virtual Mastermind group, individual coaching, and 24/7 virtual access to great peer input.

PeerSight delivers. This unique new electronic-age network of business leaders helping business leaders was born from a passion to help entrepreneurs grow themselves and their businesses faster and more profitably. An initiative of Chicago-area entrepreneur Steve MacGill (www.peersightonline.com), PeerSight is the nation’s first e-enabled membership network for CEOs, Presidents and owners of small businesses. It offers members “regular and confidential access to 9 other leaders of growing, profitable companies – each committed to helping each other test their ideas, gain perspective and grow their companies faster and more profitably than their competitors.

PeerSight offers a plethora of unique and powerful networking opportunities as well as professional and business growth tools.  The core program is a twice monthly (2 hour) professionally facilitated e-enabled roundtable meeting where members have the insight, challenge, perspective and accountability of nine peers from across the United States (leaders of other growing small businesses). In these meetings small business leaders are able to:

ü  Test ideas before the market does

ü  See their blind spots

ü  Set direction and be held accountable

ü  Learn the experiences of others

ü  Help others achieve success

PeerSight also offers online tools to interact in a safe and confidential environment on issues of the day - any time of day, and access to world class small business coaches that improve and sharpen focus. The approaches used are grounded in a proven approach refined by thousands of business leaders the world over - an approach that has been heralded by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Inc, Entrepreneur and Harvard.

PeerSight's approach couples the flexibility and freedom found only in an e-enabled environment with the breadth of advice only available from like-minded entrepreneurs across the country.  The company's e-Advisory Roundtables provide members with bi-monthly access to a handpicked peer advisory board via a toll free conference call. Membership includes bi-monthly e-enabled meetings, online tools, and access to world class small business coaches.

While the strength of the PeerSight program is based on the insight and perspective of the members, each group is led by a professional facilitator with years of experience in leading small business success. Interested CEOs, Presidents, and Owners of small businesses may participate in PeerSight's Quick Start Program, which offers an opportunity to test drive the e-Advisory Roundtables for 2 months (or 4 board meetings) before making a commitment to pay.

By the way, readers, this series was inspired by my own search to find networks that are truly transformational and not just transactional in nature and outcome for those who participate.  Members of InspireNET and PeerSight are not just getting more business or expanding their networks, they are growing – growing as people while growing their businesses. If you know of a truly Inspiring Network, please let me know.
