White Collar NetWorking, With An Online TwistBy Peter Biadasz, Southern Plains Bureau Chief
Peter's Bio
I was recently looking for networking groups in the middle section of our great country and discovered VentureStreet. Where many of you live there are usually three types of networking groups; independent networking groups, Chamber of Commerce related networking groups and finally groups that are based in another part of the country (or world) that reach out to a larger geographic network. Veturestreet, based in Virginia, is one of those geographically growing networking organizations. The organization proclaims boldly that “the purpose for business networking is to increase revenue”. With that in mind VetureStreet provides for its members networking groups around the country. Members are shown how to develop the one on one relationships that form the basis productive business relationships. In talking with Chris David, President of VentureStreet, I learned that there are requirements for one on one meetings. You just can’t slide by in this area. Another important distinction is the composition of the VentureStreet members. This organization is targeted towards white collar professionals. This may be a variation of the white collar/blue collar industry membership of your group. However, this target marketing has been very beneficial per Mr. David. An excitingly unique feature of VentureStreet is its on-line networking solutions. One can create an on-line profile which is in turn compared to other VetureStreet on-line profiles. Thus, business matches are formed. While strictest confidentialities maintained, this vehicle allows VetureStreet members to effectively utilize time management and networking skills to the fullest. VetureStreet also provides for its members a host of resources. To learn more about this exciting and innovative networking resource feel free to
