How to Find Your Love Online (In Half the Time), Part 2

[Editor's note:  This is the second in a series of articles dedicated to helping YOU find the love of your life with brilliance, ease and grace---BEFORE you turn 80!!]

If you're like me, your entire life--especially your social life!-- revolves around Networking.  And my very favorite folks to socialize with these days are the ones who often use phrases like "The Law of Attraction" or "Thoughts Are Things", and their favorite movies tend to include "The Secret", "Down The Rabbit Hole", "Conversations With God" and "The Peaceful Warrior".

 (You know the type?  Oh....you like them TOO?)

Well, that's a very good thing, and we are certainly not alone! Even The Larry King Live Show has jumped on this bandwagon!  In fact, even as I write these words, CNN is airing the first show of a two-part series entitled "Beyond Positive Thinking".  And most of Larry King's guests tonight are teachers from the hit underground movie The Secret, including my new friend John Assaraf! 

This is a very big move for both Larry King and CNN , wouldn't you agree?  I think it's history in the making for us "Law of Attraction" fans!  By the way, the second show is due to air on Thursday, Nov. 16^th on CNN at 9PM EST and will feature two more of my personal acquaintances---Joe Vitale and James Ray---so don't miss it!  In fact, tape it!

So what does all this have to do with finding love online?  Well, first off, I want you to know that is exactly how I met John Assaraf,  James Ray AND  Joe Vitale---online!  And I love them all!  (Hummm....now I need to find out if they're single and available!)

But seriously, the internet provides SUCH an opportunity for meeting  fascinating people.  Here's another recent example from my own life.  Remember last month when I wrote about the fabulous new book called The Passion Test?  Well, in its excellent resource section I noticed the name Stephany Crowley, who's the founder of www.e-datingExperts.com and the author of  e-dating Secrets™ --How to Surf  for Your Perfect Love Match on the Internet.

I decided to contact Stephany after visiting her website because I was deeply touched by the story that led to launching her very unique resource site dedicated to providing coaching services for online daters.  Being a single mom, Stephany had personally experienced the frustrations that many other single women and men have felt on their journey towards finding their soulmates, both online and otherwise.

When we spoke on the phone recently, she told me that before she had gotten into online dating, her original thought had been to "just surrender to God, to the Universe--whatever it is that people call it--and just allow him to deliver that ideal person to my doorstep."  But then a few years went by and she wasn't meeting that ideal person, because as she humorously stated "when I opened my door, the only person standing there was the FedEx man, and he wasn't necessarily my ideal mate."

At that point she had decided to try online dating, thinking "Well, if the Universe is going to send me my ideal mate, then at least this is a universal kind of way to put my energy out there, and that way the Universe can deliver him right to my email box, which is just as easy or easier than delivering him to my doorstep."   

So that's how it all started!  But then after several years of one disappointment after another "with men from virtually all over the world online, and even traveling quite extensively to find the right partner, finally it came to a big emotional crisis for me because I wasn't finding the right person.  And it literally boiled down to my complete surrender.  I literally went into my meditation hall and bawled my eyes out and fell to my knees and said 'This is what it's gotta BE!'"

Then not long after that, on a trip to the Los Angeles area, Stephany decided to take a walk on Manhattan Beach and put her feet in the water, and that's when she said her "silent and most profound prayer and just put it right out there and said 'this is the way I'm going to connect with the rest of the Universe.  Here's my clearest, most accurate intention for the ideal mate to show up in my life.' 

'I'm going to just LET IT GO and let the waves wash it out there into the Universe---I'm completely surrendered---and  I don't know HOW it's going to happen, I don't know WHEN it's going to happen, but when the TIME IS RIGHT it's just going to wash right back to me'."

And then literally a couple of weeks later, she met the love of her life on Match.com, and he "just happens" to live right in her own town!  They are now engaged to be married---and there's actually a LOT more to this story, as you might imagine.....including a fascinating discussion about Numerology and how Stephany believes in it passionately.  (Ahhh yes, the Law of Attraction!  You see, the study of Numerology "just happens" to be one of my own greatest passions in life!)
