The wilds of Alaska – an epiphany:

"I was working with the State Parks, the inspiring beauty made me realize I wanted to work with people but not from behind a desk. I wanted a portable career – I could work from anywhere in the world. Becoming a medical Doctor moved front and center."

"Before I started medical school I read Andrew Weil’s book Spontaneous Healing. What a book, hard to put down. I was stepping into the Doctor I would become. I went to Duke University, a most conservative school of medicine. I experienced the terrible feelings of watching a patient die of cancer. My traditional training was to place patients on various forms of traditional meds (drugs). Traditional Medicine has a definite part to play – fixing broken bones or removing an appendix. My residency was completed in family practice. I realized I wanted to have a medical career that approached making patients better using natural and nutritional medicine as my base."

Looking for less invasive ways to treat patients:

"I began attending conferences given by physicians leading the movement in alternative medicine. By the time I had attended about forty conferences my plan for treating patients was solidifying. I apprenticed myself for eight years to learn first hand, how to treat the patient as a whole. Harvey Bigelsen MD, I have been under apprenticeship to him for two years. Dr. Bigelsen threw his stethoscope into the political arena. He is no longer licensed. Harvey is now politically active. Dr. Harvey Bigelsen assisted in the creation of our present homeopathic board and its laws." "Harvey’s mantra is - once symptoms have manifested the accompanying illness is caused by stagnation in the system. Dr. Bigelsen often said: "Find the disturbance field and the body heals itself." "This is supported by one theory but forward by German Biological Medicine - when a patient has experienced a physical or psychological trauma a restriction to their energy flow is established."

Keep the train healthy:

"When in balance our bodies can throw off cancer. To me cancer is like a run away train speeding toward the edge of a cliff. You can catch the train and bring it back to the station, through the use of acupuncture, various herbs – natural agents. Once the energy blocks are dispelled our bodies can assist with healing."

"Hero number two is Doctor Lee Towden (MD) in Arizona "What Works Medicine" practices pushing the frontiers of medicine. I am standing on the shoulders of giants, the view from here is less obstructed."

"Another brilliant doctor I worked with is Eric Gordon MD in Santa Rosa. He is working with a nutritional bio chemistry model for treating Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease. He purports looking for patterns and asking yourself what is the big picture. Our symptoms are so complex. It is imperative that doctors include emotional and spiritual imbalances."

Chronic Fatigue:

"A life altering emotional trauma has been found in about eighty five per cent of all Chronic Fatigue patients. Therefore a doctor must address this on some level. You can’t psycho therapy these problems out of the body."

"Ten years of psycho therapy can’t touch what acupuncture and Neural Therapy can accomplish in a short time. Nerves continue to constrict and remember trauma. Humans are creatures of habit we use the same roads to work etc. The nervous system, of our bodies, gets stuck in a rut. I inject Procaine into the energy system to reset the autonomic nerves stopping the remembered reaction to trauma – pain and illness."

Have you noticed a percentage of increase in Cancer due to a horrific loss?

"I am referring to the loss of a child or a life partner?" "That is a great question. It depends on the person. For example a mother has two kids she is always yelling at them. One child develops asthma the other child simply ignores her. How do you internalize?"

What do you suggest to balance ourselves?

"The key is to experience the emotions that come up vent – laugh – cry. Talk about these feelings. Real Therapy is to feel these feelings without sinking into it or getting attached to it. If you do it right you will release and you are done. Remember let yourself feel the pain. Some body therapists and therapies that help you to open up are:"

  • Acupuncture
  • Massage
  • CranioSacral Therapy
  • Reichian Therapy
  • Bio Energetic Therapy

"By working on the body directly it will bring up the feelings. It still requires amazing strength and courage along with willingness to move through the trauma."

"Grief counseling can also be useful, however people tend to artificially bring up emotions and do not actually work through the trauma, thus making it not totally real, something is missing. Trauma victims are only examining their cognitive structure without involvement of the body. This is when it is crucial to reset the autonomic nerves."

Cases:

"A female patient in her mid forties was first diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue then Lyme Disease. She was on antibiotics for Lyme disease and not improving. A few years prior at age thirty four she had a miscarriage then a hysterectomy. Her level of body trauma continued with a knee operation to repair her ACL. A few years after those traumas she became ill – all she needed was for us to do neural therapy. We did injections to those areas where she had received trauma, the base of her belly and her knee thus unblocking the nerves. In approximately 3 months after treatment she was back to work and her body healed itself. Not everyone is this easy to treat. My patients experience forty to one hundred percent clearing. The majority of people want to get better."

"Case two – a twenty nine year old female diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue. She was sick for six years. Her trauma was a cervical excision afterward she developed unconscious contractions of the peritoneal muscles. I recommended she eat raw food for a few weeks high in fruit with veggies. Added into her treatment was massage and, myofascial release work. She went to a pelvic trauma specialist, for vaginal and derriere muscle trauma correction. She became one hundred per cent better." The treatment results of patients referred to in this article may not be typical.

Health Tip:

"Do something that brings you great joy everyday." This may seem simplistic, however if you actually check in to see if you have done something that gives you great joy today what would be your answer?
