Networking with Non Profits

AHA !!!

I have long been an advocate that artists ARE “the bank”. The artist might be on the verge of starvation, broke, living simply, eating badly, or anything close to what we call the compromised edge, AND if a Non Profit organization asks them to donate a painting to an auction that will underwrite a fundraiser for a Children’s Hospital, an arts education program, a cancer research center, or as in the case with Hurricane Katrina ... the artists from New Orleans traveled around the country playing the traditional music for which New Orleans is known, purely to raise money for their own home town. They did not have to be adopted, placed, housed, fed, or anything like that ... they are a resilient group of people and that is one of the major reasons that I JUST love them all so much ... the artist always finds a means to procure what ever is needed. It’s just that state of challenge that encourages them to create, and to continue to GIVE.

In the case, with being asked to donate a painting ... and being completely broke, the artist finds a way to procure the canvas, the paint, the framing, AND they deliver ... The work is often, auctioned for a lesser price than the value of the work ... Hmmm?

I’ve seen it happen many, many times. It continues to blow my mind, especially knowing what I know, and knowing HOW to procure sales on behalf of an individual artist, and their unique works.

So, I decided to do something about it ... One artist at a time.

I have recently engaged a contract with Courtney Milne Productions, and artist / photographer Courtney Milne ... (see Past Articles, Courtney Milne, Photographer As Mystic).

We have created a product, The Pool of Possibilities, E-Calendar and Journal ... which is a delightful Virtual calendar that is delivered to your desktop, one day at a time, starting ANY day of year, and providing over the course of that year, 365 museum quality, breathtaking images, a short daily “poolside chat” with the artist, and a place where, you the recipient can capture your “reflections” about your day ... whether at the start, or at the completion of the day.

Click here to see a working sample of what would arrive each day from The Pool of Possibilities.

To order: Click on any one of the three “Links” to the right of this months article.

The very best option about this Calendar, is the following. Not only does each purchase benefit the artist, it also benefits my Foundation, The National Living Arts Foundation, which provides my consulting, career development and product development services to those who cannot afford my fees AND there is a opportunity for ANY foundation to utilize the product as a gift to its supporters and members that may also, consistently produce revenues for their Foundation, as well.

Hoorah ... A win / win / win ... all the way around.

In light of the holiday season, a wonderful time to give, receive, and think of those who are less fortunate, The Pool of Possibilities E – Calendar is a wonderful gift to give to friends, family and business colleagues.

In fact, in light of a wonderful tool to continue to network with your VIP clients through out the year, Courtney can add your corporate logo to each day’s greeting email, and each day’s intro page. From a marketing perspective, and for only ten cents per day, you can have your corporate identity in front of your very best clients. Primarily, the calendar serves as a thank you for having done business with you, and is also a reminder to continue to interface with those clients through out the next year.

No form of advertising that I know of is that personal, affordable, beautiful, and simply delivered.

Merry Christmas to you and YOURS ... Immerse Yourself in “The Pool of Possibilities” and give to your favorite charity at the same time.

NO more fruitcakes in the corporate gift basket ... YAY !!!
