The Power of Networking

An unexpected accumulation of nearly four inches of snow didn’t stop the APN Power Society from having their first Atlanta Power Networking event. Saturday, January 19 was the inaugural meeting for the society which will host monthly power networking events. The society will present a speaker at each meeting focusing on different topics. Topics of discussion will include new business opportunities as well as business tips. Also include will be fun activities such as salsa dancing classes.

Saturday proved to be a great day to network. The meeting was attended by a diverse mix of professionals who networked and learned from each other to create business synergy. The guest speaker for the meeting was John Jones, Senior Vice President of 5Linx who explained the evolution of telecommunications and how the next few years will see a quantum leap in offerings and opportunities. The APN Power Society was founded by Jack Kirivong, CEO of Atom Concrete; Rachel Jackson, Travel Specialist; and Tanjuria Anderson, Publisher of CONNECT Magazine to connect Atlanta area professionals, share professional tips, lessons learned and business ventures, develop friendships and potential business relationships, expand your personal and professional network and achieve a higher level of success.

Just one of the many unique features of APN Power Society is their plan to travel abroad as a group to visit emerging business markets which will provide the members the opportunity to experience differing cultures and business models while sharing their business acumen with others. APN members will have the opportunity to meet with business leaders and learn about business opportunities first hand in a foreign land.
