This month I had the pleasure of attending the RE SpeedNetwork event in NYC at the Beekman Hotel

RE Speed Network designed an efficient networking concept in which real estate professionals can gather in a friendly and efficient manner in order to create new business opportunities. RE Speed Network was created as the direct result of the inefficient methods of business networking events that exist today.

RE Speed Network’s target market includes but is not limited to: Sales and leasing brokers, attorneys, property owners/developers, title companies, lenders, mortgage brokers, REITS, appraisers, accountants and other related services.

Here's how it works: online registration is at www.respeednetwork.com  and is first come/first served. Each category, i.e. investment sales broker, attorney, has a limited number of seats. This ensures that the attendees meet industry related peers in fields other than their own. Networking is crucially important and concentrating within the tightest potential spheres of influence makes the most sense.

At the event, the participants sat face-to face. Each intense networking session lasted 4 minutes during which time he/she will introduce themselves, exchange business cards and discuss how they can help one another. At the sound of a bell, the session ended and the participants moved their seats accordingly to face the next person and begin again. People from the various fields described herein met and exchanged business cards and learned more about their respective areas of expertise and experience. Most of all the attendees gained the introduction of new and different members of their chosen field. Since the event I personally contacted those individuals most likely to benefit from my connection or vice-versa.

These events are held monthly and are sponsored by real estate media sources and local boards or associations of agents and brokers. I sincerely suggest attending an event such as this to gain exposure to those RE professionals in one's local area.
