Now a director of the UK online business network Word of Mouse, Andy Lopata established his reputation as a leading expert on networking during his time as Managing Director of one of the UK’s largest referral-focused organisations, Business Referral Exchange (BRX). During that time Andy spoke at events across the UK and co-authored two books, ‘Building a Business on Bacon and Eggs’ and the Amazon UK bestseller ‘…and Death Came Third! The Definitive Guide to Networking and Speaking in Public’. Since leaving BRX in January 2007, Andy works with large organisations as a business networking strategist. Andy is on a mission to encourage businesses to take networking seriously, putting into place a strategy to use it effectively. And not just for sales generation, but as a tool within the workplace to develop future leaders, break down silos and improve communication. Andy is a vice-president of the Professional Speakers Association in the UK and is regularly quoted in the national press on networking matters.
