Leverage is a term used often in our industry and it refers to the potential of magnifying your own efforts and productivity by tends, hundreds and even thousands as your organization builds in depth. It is a real phenomenon appreciated by the big earners in networking but most of the "smaller players" or beginning players don’t really understand the dynamics of the concept. For one thing, it is greatly related simply to time, and many impatient first time players don’t understand the necessity of letting a program mature. Generally speaking, in the first six months of your networking experience, the growth is relatively slow and it may seem like you are doing the majority of the work. But inevitably, additional players will join you who also have a financial dream, and they too will work, and it will grow almost inspite of what your personal effort is. At that point (again, usually in month six to twelve) numbers of distributors and volume begins to douple, and expands exponentially. The chart below is simple and built upon very simple numbers – the concept of you sponsoring just one distributor per month and having each new person do the same. Now, in reality it won’t grow in that symmetrically – some will sponsor five people, some won’t sponsor any, but with just ONE per month, the progression can be staggering. The POWER OF ONE Sponsor ONE new distributor per month ... If they buy only ONE UNIT per month of product costing $100, (and in my company this is below the per/distributor average) this is what happens:
Well, it’s not really obscene, it’s well earned and WELL WORTH IT! At the end of one year in my current company I was making over $20K per month, so these numbers are quite realistic. HERE ARE THE FACTS IN MY EXPERIENCE:
(These numbers are based on one company’s performance)...Need We Go Further!?!? The most vital component of success is persistence. Obviously, skills and application of those skills is key, but more than anything persistence brings success in network marketing. I remember counseling a gentleman who had reached an income of about $2,400 in income in six months and he was genuinely disappointed in his success. He had worked hard, so he was frustrated that he seemed "stuck". I evaluated his organization, and I could see that he really was not stuck, he had laid the groundwork for what was going to be a seriously big organization with just a little time – things were going to pop. I tried to keep him from selling that organization, but he was convinced otherwise, and sure enough, the very next month after he sold, the volume in his organization DOUBLED, making a very fine profit for the new owner. He just cut and ran prematurely; and unfortunatey, I see that happen not infrequently. The critical step anytime you feel you are not making sufficient progress would be to take your business to a mentor/coach or very successful, experienced networker who can help ask the right questions and evaluate are you really stuck, or are you "just about to pop". Next month, I will be doing a follow on article entitled POWER DUPLICATION that will explore this concept a little more fully. Until then, stay committed, be persistent and BE SUCCESSFUL!
