Spice Up Your Introductions

The way that you introduce yourself to others can make a huge difference in whether they connect with you and remember you. You can make your self-introductions interesting and memorable by using the following tips:

  1. Take your current introduction and brainstorm on "replacement words" that could be used for every word in your introduction. Pick the words that are the most interesting, most descriptive and/or most emotionally compelling.
  2. Make a list of words and phrases that describe the positive feelings that you have about your business, your products and your services. See about various ways you can express those feelings in your introduction.
  3. Pretend like you are introducing yourself to a room full of children and come up with an introduction that they could understand and be excited about. Think about how that introduction could also be effective with adults.

Give your introduction some "flavor" with interesting words, phrases and expressive energy.
